Used 2018 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearWhitby, ON

How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 8.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used Trax options.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Chevrolet Trax earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from being small, practical, and easy to live with. Chevrolet positioned it as a city-friendly crossover that blends the higher driving position and added space of a small SUV with the manoeuvrability and fuel efficiency of a sedan. For you, that means the Trax makes the most sense if you want an affordable, compact SUV that prioritises everyday usefulness over flash. 22.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Trax is described as a practical, easy-to-live-with small SUV, but its early-years performance was only adequate and the first-generation model was not especially quick. It also had some safety equipment that was still optional rather than standard across the range, so you should pay close attention to how a used example is equipped. For long-term ownership, that means condition and feature content matter a lot when you’re comparing individual listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and focus on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 22.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,672 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $13,082 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,312 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can make it easier for you to negotiate if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the recent decline means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially well kept or unusually well equipped. The Trax’s practical, city-friendly appeal should still help it attract interest from budget-conscious shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 22.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Trax is the better fit if you want a compact, practical, city-friendly crossover and you value current pricing that has eased from last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s combination of equipment and market position.
