Used 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for Sale nearNorth York, ON

How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 10.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 553 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and good handling, and many also like the truck’s performance and more luxury-like feel. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a full-size pickup that can still feel refined enough for daily use while offering broad capability and a wide range of configurations. With 27.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to power, comfort, and overall ownership experience. That said, the model year sits within a generation that has been described as the most problematic of the used Silverado generations, with complaints centred mainly on transmissions. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you choose carefully, but a thorough inspection and history check matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 553 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,305 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $25,305 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,175 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The key for future resale is avoiding overpaying now, because the current trend shows the market has softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should consider the 2018 if you want a capable full-size pickup with strong owner approval and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 remains the better fit when you want a familiar, work-ready truck with broad appeal and you can verify its condition carefully.
