Is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, decent fuel economy, good power and towing capacity, and the way its compact size makes it easier to drive than a full-size truck. It also fits well if you want a midsize pickup with everyday usability and real truck capability, especially when you value versatility and a manageable footprint. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with a reputation for being trouble-free enough to recommend for its utility and nimbleness. At the same time, some owners mention mechanical issues, so you should still prioritise a careful inspection and service-history review before buying. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that known mechanical concerns can turn a good-looking listing into a costly one if maintenance has been inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and focus on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,045 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $23,902 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,381 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your resale upside may be more limited unless you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition. A clean history, solid maintenance records, and desirable equipment should matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Colorado makes the most sense if you want a well-liked midsize pickup with a softer price trend and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, it can also be worth cross-shopping nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar equipment and condition.
