Used 2017 Volkswagen Golf for Sale nearYork, ON

How much does the 2017 Volkswagen Golf cost?

Prices have softened 11.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 137 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Volkswagen Golf a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2017 Volkswagen Golf blends familiar Golf practicality with a sharper performance focus and a more upscale feel, while still offering a subtle look that may suit you if you want something quick without being flashy. It also comes well equipped for the class, with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, bi-xenon headlights, and a rear-view camera. 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Volkswagen Golf reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reliability is generally regarded as solid, but coolant leaks, water pump failures, and timing-chain-related rattles are worth watching for on a used example. If you’re shopping for one, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of cooling-system or engine-noise issues, because those can affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volkswagen Golf?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,802 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volkswagen Golf's resale value?

The current average of $12,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,077 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more approachable for you as a buyer but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a more competitive market and may need to price carefully to stand out. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volkswagen Golf or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, subtly styled hot hatch with strong owner approval, the 2017 is the right direction to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you should also compare nearby model years and look for the best-priced example with a clean history and solid maintenance records.
