Is the 2017 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Murano earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, numerous features, and stylish design, and many also like its comfort and power, especially in the higher trims. It fits best if you want a midsize SUV that leans toward comfort and style rather than rugged utility, with a relaxed driving character and a premium-feeling cabin. Is the 2017 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and comfortable to live with over time, with praise centred on its refined feel and feature content. At the same time, some drivers mention reliability concerns, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter for used buyers. For long-term ownership, your risk is best managed by choosing a well-maintained example and avoiding vehicles with incomplete records.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,543 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $14,543 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,625 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Murano has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. Because the model has softened in value, future resale gains are likely to depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on market momentum alone. If you keep the vehicle in strong shape, you may be better positioned than owners of neglected examples when it comes time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Murano makes sense if you want a comfortable, stylish midsize SUV and you value a softer price point in today’s market. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
