How much does the 2017 Nissan Altima cost?

There are 88 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2017 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Altima earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also like its smooth handling and spacious interior. That fits well if you want a practical midsize sedan for everyday use rather than something tuned for excitement. With 23.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also points to a car that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use. That matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for commuting and routine family driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright dependability and more about whether the car’s comfort-focused design and CVT-driven character suit your expectations over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,063 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $11,092 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,700 CAD.

That tells you the market has softened, which can be good news if you're buying now but less favourable if you're thinking ahead to resale. If you own one for a few years, you should expect value retention to be only moderate rather than standout. The current pricing also suggests that future sellers may need to stay competitive to attract attention in a market with a fair amount of choice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize sedan with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price, the 2017 is the better path. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s balance of features, comfort, and market value.
