This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

What is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,404 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,045 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk later than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. The year-round low and high also show that well-priced examples can still hold a meaningful premium when condition and equipment are strong.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth a look, but the 2017 remains the better all-around choice if you value satisfaction and feature content.
