Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Civic Coupe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings and wait for the right price.

• Deal availability: 21.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,687 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe's resale value?

The current average of $16,149 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,201 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more attractive entry point today, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual if the market stays competitive. If you plan to sell later, buying well matters because your eventual resale value will depend heavily on how much room you leave between purchase price and market average. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Civic Coupe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 21.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and buyer confidence, the 2017 is a sensible place to start because pricing has eased and owner feedback is excellent. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you commit.
