How much does the 2017 Honda CR-V cost?

There are 641 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.65/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the CR-V for its excellent fuel economy, spacious interior, and strong value for the price, while also appreciating the safety features and reliability associated with the Honda brand. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a practical compact crossover for families or daily commuting. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still enough market variety to shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers saying they feel confident counting on it over the long term. That said, some owners mention a few technical issues on certain trims, so a careful used-car inspection still matters. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s overall reputation and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 641 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,770 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $18,901 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,874 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can work against future sellers if values continue to ease. If you buy now, you may have less immediate upside than in a rising market, but the current pricing also gives you a more realistic entry point. For resale, the CR-V’s broad appeal should still help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a practical compact crossover with strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-rounded compact crossover with strong owner approval, the 2017 is the year to focus on. It makes the most sense if you value practicality, fuel economy, and a roomy cabin over driving excitement. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar value for less money.
