Should I buy a 2017 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.52/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,144 CAD, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,542 CAD average.
• It offers improved ownership peace of mind with a few worthwhile updates.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,027 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $17,542 CAD average.
• It adds a more engaging driving feel and a more polished overall experience.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, well-priced Accord with strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2016 is the smarter value play; if you want a newer-feeling Accord and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is worth a look.
