How much does the 2017 GMC Acadia cost?

Prices have softened 17.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 69 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice if you're comparing condition, mileage, and trim.

Is the 2017 GMC Acadia a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, spacious interior, and impressive features, while also calling out the ample cargo space and versatile seating that make it a practical fit for families and outdoor use. If you want a family-friendly crossover with comfort and useful space, this model year lines up well with that use case. With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still enough market activity to help you shop selectively.

Is the 2017 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with repeated praise for comfort, practicality, and a trouble-free ownership experience overall. That said, some drivers mention occasional radio issues, so it is worth checking the infotainment and audio functions carefully during a test drive. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core package and more about making sure any individual example has been maintained well and does not have lingering electrical or convenience-system issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,333 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $16,675 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,158 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Acadia easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a more competitive resale environment than last year. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history should still attract attention, but you may need to price them carefully to stay competitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a midsize family crossover with a strong owner satisfaction record, the 2017 Acadia is the better fit when you can find a well-priced example in good condition. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby older year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2017 gives you a more modern package and a strong balance of comfort, space, and value.
