How much does the 2017 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 7.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 673 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.68/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The user feedback highlights its safety features, power, and spacious interior, while also praising the range of options and upscale amenities available in higher trims. That makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size pickup that can serve as a work truck, a family hauler, or a more premium daily driver. With 26.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.68/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck people feel good about keeping over time, with comments that emphasise dependable ownership and confidence in the truck’s overall capability. That said, used buyers should still watch for signs of wear and verify maintenance carefully, since long-term ownership risk can rise if a truck has been worked hard or poorly maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 673 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,431 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $24,399 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,360 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the previous average. Strong demand for well-equipped pickups can still support values, especially for cleaner examples with desirable trims and features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.68/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.68/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $21,643 CAD, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $24,399 CAD average.
• It leans into luxury with a premium-feeling cabin.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $24,877 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $24,399 CAD average.
• It is more well-rounded for everyday use and capability.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better all-around pick if you want a broad mix of capability, comfort, and trim variety at a softened market price. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2016 is the value-leaning alternative, while the 2018 makes sense if you want a newer, more balanced truck and are willing to pay a bit more.
