Why it stands out
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro stands out because it combines sharp styling with serious performance hardware in a package that still feels relatively modern. It sits within the sixth generation, which was described as lighter, smaller, tauter, and more efficient than the previous Camaro, and Chevrolet built it on a new platform shared with the Cadillac ATS. For 2017, the Camaro also gained a Teen Driver feature, which lets parents monitor use by newly minted drivers. That same year, the available 1LE package for the V6 and V8 engines added track-focused tuning and flat-black hood paint, while the return of the Camaro ZL1 brought a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 with 650 horsepower, a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission, Recaro suede and leather race seats, and Brembo brakes.
For buyers, the appeal of the 2017 Camaro is the breadth of its personality. It can be a coupe or convertible, and it offers the kind of power and driving dynamics that helped define the sixth generation. The model also benefits from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, which were already part of the sixth-generation package. At the same time, the Camaro’s drawbacks remain familiar: the interiors are cheaply outfitted, outward visibility is poor, and insurance can be expensive. Owner feedback also points to limited cargo space and a back seat that is not especially practical, so the Camaro is best understood as an emotional choice rather than a sensible one.

The 2SS has everything you could want as far as extra features. Beautiful leather interior, ambient lighting, heated & cooled seats, navigation, heads up display. The visibility in a Camaro takes some getting used to and there’s not much of a backseat. Other than that, set up like a race car with no extra storage or door pockets. It’s a beautiful car. This one is a 50th anniversary edition with the Fifty emblem on the steering wheel. This isn’t the car you want for good gas mileage with the V8. It sounds good with the dual exhaust. This car is prettier in person because the carbon fiber panels don’t show up well in photos.

Final price was far from ad listing. Beautiful car. 2017 to 2021 excellent convertibles. Love red accent interiors. Its only a Camaro for me, nothing else.
