Is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?

Yes — the 4.74/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the Camaro’s stunning looks, impressive power, thrilling performance, smooth ride, and advanced technology. That makes sense if you want a performance car that blends retro-inspired style with serious capability, rather than a practical daily driver. Is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?

Owners rate it 4.74/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to performance and overall enjoyment. The recurring praise for its power, handling, and driving experience suggests you can count on it to deliver the kind of ownership experience Camaro shoppers are after. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s appeal and more about choosing one that has been maintained well and suits your tolerance for its known practicality trade-offs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Camaro?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 67 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,913 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?

The current average of $29,653 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,977 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about where the market is headed. If prices stay near the current range, resale value should remain steady rather than strong. The Camaro’s appeal still helps support demand, especially because shoppers continue to respond to its performance image and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.74/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.74/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a Camaro with broad performance appeal, strong owner approval, and a market that is currently a bit softer than it was a year ago. If you are price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples, but the 2017 remains the better pick when you value the balance of satisfaction, availability, and current pricing.
