Well-kept examples with desirable performance features should hold attention better than average ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.74/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.74/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of modern Camaro engineering, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that has softened a bit, the 2017 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2017 remains the better primary target if you want the strongest mix of appeal and value.
