Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right car appears, but you should still be selective.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,504 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $33,771 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,270 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about where the market is headed. If prices stay near today's level, resale values should remain more stable than they were a year ago, but not especially strong. The model's broad appeal and distinctive character can help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with the right equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked Challenger at a softer price point than it was a year ago, especially if you value the model's mix of style, comfort, and everyday usability. If you're more price-sensitive, keep shopping within the broader Challenger range and focus on the best-maintained example you can find, since condition matters a lot in this market.
