The repeated praise for its dependable-feeling power delivery, smooth ride, and strong driving character suggests you can count on it to deliver the experience buyers expect from a Camaro. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Camaro?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 65 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,913 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?

The current average of $28,942 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,573 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Camaro has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. Because the current average remains within the year-round range, the model still has a stable market position rather than a steep decline. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later, especially if you choose a well-kept example with strong appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Camaro with strong owner approval and a softer price than last year, the 2017 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s stronger market position and owner satisfaction.
