Is the 2017 Audi A3 a good car?

Is the 2017 Audi A3 reliable?

For used buyers, that points to lower ownership risk than you might expect from a car without strong owner feedback, especially if the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,736 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $14,796 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,403 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking about future resale. On one hand, it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point today. On the other, it suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Audi A3 with solid owner feedback and a market that has moved in your favour, the 2017 is a sensible place to start. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them against nearby model years before deciding.
