Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and focus on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,338 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $17,025 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,648 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive if you plan to sell later. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of protecting value over time. Strong pricing discipline matters here because the model's market has already moved down from a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible primary choice if you want a used Audi A3 with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price environment than a year ago. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018's current market position.
