Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 87 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,744 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $14,753 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,522 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold its value better than a neglected one. Strong condition and documented service history matter more when the market is already pricing in a decline.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Audi A3 makes sense if you want a used luxury compact with a favourable price trend and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, price, and listing quality.
