Should I buy a 2016 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 XC60 makes the most sense if you want a well-liked, comfort-focused luxury crossover and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a better-equipped or better-priced example is available, but the 2016 remains a strong starting point for shoppers who value owner satisfaction and a softer market.
