Used 2016 Toyota Highlander for Sale nearGloucester, ON

How much does the 2016 Toyota Highlander cost?

Prices have softened 8.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 81 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Toyota Highlander a good car?

Yes — the 4.93/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, reliability, and the abundance of features, and they also like the powerful V6 engine and smooth ride. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical, family-focused midsize SUV with a roomy cabin and everyday usefulness. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some attractive market availability if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Toyota Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.93/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependability, and a vehicle that feels easy to count on over time. That matters if you want a used SUV that should be straightforward to live with and less likely to create ownership headaches.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not worn down by heavy family use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers: there is enough inventory to shop around, but the best-priced examples may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 81 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,102 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $22,502 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,528 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The fact that demand is still supported by strong owner satisfaction should help keep this SUV appealing on the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.93/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.93/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Highlander is a smart choice if you want a comfortable, practical, family-friendly SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years and focusing on the best-priced examples, but the 2016 remains an easy one to recommend when condition, maintenance history, and asking price line up well.
