Why it stands out
The 2016 Toyota Corolla maintains its reputation as a dependable and economical compact sedan, perfect for buyers looking for value and fuel efficiency. Despite facing stiff competition, the Corolla has several strong attributes that make it an appealing option. Its spacious cabin offers generous legroom for both front and rear passengers, contributing to a comfortable ride. Additionally, the vehicle features an intuitive controls layout, allowing for easy operation of climate and audio systems.
Fuel economy is another standout feature, with models equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) achieving a combined rating of 7.3 L/100 km. The Corolla’s 1.8-litre inline four-cylinder engine delivers adequate power for daily driving, although it doesn’t excel in acceleration. The car’s balanced handling provides a level of driving enjoyment, especially in manual variants. The Corolla excels in safety features, coming equipped with a comprehensive Star Safety System and numerous standard airbags, which enhances its appeal as a family-friendly choice. Overall, while the Corolla may not have all the latest tech features, its combination of reliability, comfort, and value makes it a popular choice among Canadians.

This is a fantastic car. Rides smooth, lots of space without being a massive car, excellent mileage, classy but affordable. Casual but practical. Any Toyota sedan is going to treat you incredibly. Reminds me a lot of my old Toyota Camry.
