What is the 2016 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $18,033 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,999 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if the market stays soft. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect your eventual return. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $16,071 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $18,033 CAD average.
• It offers strong comfort and a compelling chassis.

The bottom line: Choose the 2016 if you want the stronger current-market balance of owner satisfaction, pricing, and available inventory. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2015 is the better value-focused path, especially if you find one in good condition.
