How much does the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth driving experience, and the comfort and cargo space that make it especially appealing for family use. It also fits well if you want a practical three-row SUV with seating for seven and everyday versatility. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, space, and smooth driving manners. That said, the model’s history includes transmission concerns in early versions of this generation, so a careful inspection and maintenance review matter if you want to count on it for the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained and test-driven thoroughly before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 163 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,936 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $10,962 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,756 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the Pathfinder easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. Demand should remain supported by the model’s family-friendly layout and practical appeal. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Pathfinder makes sense if you want a roomy, comfortable three-row SUV and you find one priced well below the market average. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a similar vehicle offers a better deal, but the 2016 is a solid primary target when space, comfort, and value matter most.
