Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth driving experience, and the comfort and cargo space that make it especially useful for families. It also fits well if you want a three-row SUV with room for passengers and everyday versatility without stepping up to a larger vehicle. Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with praise centred on comfort, space, and a smooth driving experience. That kind of feedback suggests the Pathfinder can be a trouble-free choice when it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle’s maintenance history is solid before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,111 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $11,111 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,776 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Pathfinder easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current trend implies you should focus on condition, maintenance records, and trim appeal to help protect value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Pathfinder makes sense if you want a spacious, family-friendly three-row SUV with strong owner approval and a market that has become more favourable for buyers. If you are price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby years as well, but the 2016 stands out as a solid primary choice when you find a well-kept example at the right price.
