Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Micra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.79% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price and availability, the 2016 is the better starting point. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you a better fit for your budget.
