Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxury feel, comfort, style, smooth handling, and high-quality fit and finish, while also noting that the updated features add appeal even in an older model. For you, that means this SUV fits well if you want a premium, family-focused vehicle with a practical shape and a broad feature set. With 43.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a healthy amount of value-oriented inventory to consider.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also describes it as reliable and safe, with a trouble-free feel that supports confidence in used ownership. That said, you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and inspect higher-cost systems carefully, because long-term ownership risk can rise if expensive repairs have been deferred.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Yes — this looks like a buyer-friendly market if you are shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 43.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $26,596 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,232 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,841 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 43.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the original year of this GLE generation with a premium feel, practical packaging, and a market that currently leans in your favour. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
