How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 8.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 69 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It was designed as a compact luxury SUV with a sleeker shape than the GLK, improved rear-seat space, and a larger cargo area, so it fits well if you want a premium five-seat SUV that feels more practical and polished than its predecessor. The market also shows 23.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to reliability concerns, including suspension and electrical issues, along with some reports of piston and cylinder problems on GLC 300 models. If you buy used, long-term ownership risk is worth taking seriously, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 23.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,003 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $18,003 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,582 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. For you, that means the biggest value loss may already be behind the vehicle, but resale strength will still depend on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Buy the 2016 if you want the lower current average price and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and maintenance history. If you want a broader selection and more deal-heavy inventory, a nearby year may give you more options, but the 2016 remains the better value play when you find a clean example at the right price.
