How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a more polished take on Mercedes-Benz’s compact SUV formula, with a longer, sleeker shape that improves both style and practicality, plus better rear-seat space and a larger cargo area. It also feels like a premium, car-like SUV rather than a rugged off-roader, so it suits you best if you want on-road comfort and refinement over trail capability. 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC does not have an especially strong reputation for reliability, and owners have reported suspension and electrical issues, with some citing piston and cylinder problems in GLC 300 models. That means you should be especially careful about service history and inspection results when shopping used. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that repair costs could be higher than you expect if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,358 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $18,426 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,503 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on asking price to attract attention. The GLC’s premium positioning and practical layout still help it appeal to used luxury SUV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing value in this generation, the 2016 is a sensible place to start because pricing has eased and there is enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye out for listings near the low end of the range and move quickly when you find one. If you want the broader model-year context, nearby years can still be worth comparing, but the 2016 offers a strong mix of value and owner approval.
