What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $18,147 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,222 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale may be shaped by a lower starting point. If prices remain stable from here, a well-kept example could still hold appeal because the model has strong buyer interest in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $23,198 CAD, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $18,147 CAD average.
• It keeps the C-Class formula buyers already like, with a familiar blend of comfort, performance, and upscale appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2016 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you want to spend more for a newer model year and a familiar C-Class experience, the 2017 is the cleaner alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2016 is the stronger starting point.
