How much does the 2016 MINI Cooper cost?

There are 104 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice when shopping.

Is the 2016 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2016 MINI Cooper earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its fun driving experience, sporty design, and responsive handling, and many also like its peppy power and comfortable interior. If you want a small premium-feeling car with distinctive British style and sharp handling rather than a conventional commuter, it fits that use case well. With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people enjoy living with over time, especially for its fun-to-drive character and everyday comfort. That said, the model year is also associated with reliability concerns in the broader ownership notes, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and condition. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is worth managing carefully with a thorough inspection and a complete service record.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 MINI Cooper?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,438 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $12,980 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,085 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help future sellers because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you are less likely to face a dramatic drop in value. Demand should remain reasonably steady for shoppers who want the MINI’s distinctive style and driving feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a good choice if you want the MINI’s signature personality, strong owner approval, and a market that is not moving sharply in either direction. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing closely, especially if you can find a cleaner example or a lower asking price.
