Is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It also stands out for its strong identity and versatility, making it a good fit if you want a used SUV that prioritises character and capability over generic commuting manners. Is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

That said, you should still weigh the usual used-vehicle ownership risks carefully, especially if the previous owner used it hard off-road or skipped routine maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 211 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,491 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $19,491 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,740 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to own it for a while, the Wrangler’s distinctive appeal can help support demand when you eventually list it. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Wrangler’s classic character, strong owner approval, and a market that currently offers some pricing flexibility. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
