Is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its fun driving experience, comfortable interior, and impressive power, especially with the manual transmission. It also stands out for its strong identity and versatility, making it a good fit if you want a used SUV that prioritises character and capability over generic commuting manners. With 25.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

The user feedback also points to a simple design and lower repair costs, which can be reassuring if you want a used SUV you can count on. That said, you should still weigh the usual used-vehicle ownership risks carefully, especially if the previous owner used it hard off-road or skipped routine maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 211 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,491 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $19,491 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,740 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to own it for a while, the Wrangler’s distinctive appeal can help support demand when you eventually list it. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Wrangler’s classic character, strong owner approval, and a market that currently offers some pricing flexibility. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
