How much does the 2016 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 12.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 176 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2016 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 4.82/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, family-friendly features, and comfort, and many also like the good gas mileage. For families who want a roomy three-row SUV with useful everyday practicality, the 2016 Pilot fits that brief well. With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find comfortable and dependable for family use, with praise centred on its spacious cabin and everyday usability. That said, the model year is also associated with transmission complaints, so used buyers should pay close attention to service records and overall condition before committing to long-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,033 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $18,042 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,688 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you plan to resell later, buying closer to the lower end of the range gives you more cushion against further depreciation. Strong demand from family buyers can still help support values, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 2016 Honda Pilot’s mix of family space, comfort features, and modern safety content, it makes sense to focus on well-priced examples with solid maintenance history. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and prioritise the cleanest, best-documented vehicle rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
