This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

The current average of $14,953 CAD sits slightly above last year's $14,896 CAD.

That small increase suggests the market has remained fairly stable, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can help support resale confidence because it shows buyers continue to value this model year consistently. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you should be in a reasonable position when it comes time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Honda Fit makes sense if you want a well-liked used hatchback with stable pricing and a decent chance of finding a deal. If your priority is value and you like the idea of shopping from a broad pool of listings, this year is a sensible pick. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced alternative better fits your budget.
