The car is a great fit. While it’s missing some of the bells and whistles with the other trims, I like the size and it feels spacious compared to its counterparts.

Excellent build quality, most standard features and above average reliability. Handles well and pleasantly surprised acceleration in such a tiny car. And surprisingly spacious interior for the market of a sub compact car. Highly recommended! I’m in love with my little Fit! ❤️

It’s a great car. This is the fifth one we have had in our family. You can “fit” a ton of stuff in it. The competitor’s (Nissan Versa and Toyota Yaris) versions are golf carts compared to the Fit.

How much does the 2016 Honda Fit cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,377 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $13,144 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $15,478 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,224 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.56% |
Prices have softened 5.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 70 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2016 Honda Fit a good car?
Yes — owners rate it 4.6/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its excellent build quality, spacious interior, fun driving experience, and strong value for money. The market also shows 21.4% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to the appeal if you are shopping carefully.
Is the 2016 Honda Fit reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary also points to reliability as a recurring strength, with owners describing it as dependable and something they can count on over the long term. For used buyers, that kind of feedback suggests lower ownership anxiety, though you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Fit?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings without rushing.
- Deal availability: 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 70 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.56% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $13,144 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2016 Honda Fit's resale value?
The current average of $14,377 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,224 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the car more attractive to buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller if prices continue to soften. On the other hand, the model’s strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually resell. If you buy well now, you may be better positioned to recover value later.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2016 Honda Fit or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2016 if:
- 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.56% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked used hatchback with solid owner feedback and some room to negotiate. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, price, and deal quality.
