Is the 2016 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Ford Mustang earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2016 Ford Mustang reliable?

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable enough to enjoy over time, especially because they value its performance, handling, and overall driving experience. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained carefully and checked for any model-specific issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,229 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $23,613 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,319 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market strengthens. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to hold reasonably well rather than climb sharply. Strong demand from shoppers looking for a sporty, stylish used car should help support interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $23,151 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $23,613 CAD average.
• It introduced the redesigned Mustang with a big step forward in dynamics and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving a bit more upfront, the 2015 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
