This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 109 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.42% compared with last year.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $9,691 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,596 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point if you plan to keep the car for a while. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation unless the vehicle is especially clean, well maintained, and attractively equipped. Because the Fusion still has steady shopper interest, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Ford Fusion makes sense if you want a well-rounded midsize sedan with strong owner approval and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is value, the 2016 is the better buy-in point; if you want to compare across nearby years, a newer model may be worth considering only if the added features justify the higher asking prices.
