How much does the 2016 Ford Escape cost?

There are 430 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Ford Escape a good car?

Yes — the 4.62/5 user rating suggests strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its zippy performance, stylish design, and plenty of interior space, and many also say it handles well and offers great features for its age. The main trade-offs mentioned are some practicality issues, especially around the gas flap and tight driver-side space. With 20.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of attractive options to consider.

Is the 2016 Ford Escape reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially because they describe it as dependable in everyday use and worth counting on for its age. That said, you should still inspect any used example carefully for wear and verify that practical annoyances have not turned into ownership headaches. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad owner dissatisfaction and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Escape?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 20.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 430 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,752 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $9,752 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,535 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make resale a little more challenging if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the current average, you may have less room for appreciation than a year ago, so condition and mileage will matter even more when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 20.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Ford Escape makes sense if you want a well-liked used SUV with a lower current asking price and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you are price-sensitive, the current market gives you room to shop carefully and target the better deals first. If you want the best value, focus on condition, service history, and asking price rather than chasing a specific year alone.
