Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Dodge Journey?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective and still find worthwhile options if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 245 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,346 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $9,784 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,062 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable level today, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the Journey's value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept example should hold up better than one with visible wear or unresolved mechanical issues.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the better path if you want the lower average price and a decent pool of listings to choose from. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby years as well, but the 2016 stands out as a practical starting point when you want value and selection in the same search.
