Is the 2016 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, unique styling, and spacious interior, and many like the muscle-car feel and retro design that turns heads. It also fits well if you want a five-passenger coupe with everyday usability and a user-friendly infotainment setup. Is the 2016 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially when the car has been cared for properly. That said, the Challenger’s reputation is tied closely to condition, so a used example that has been neglected can carry more long-term ownership risk than one with clear maintenance history. For used buyers, the safest path is to focus on well-kept cars with evidence of regular service.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.69% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $34,839 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $45,888 CAD sits slightly above last year's $45,124 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the Challenger has held value reasonably well, which can be encouraging if you plan to sell later. A rising average price also tells you that buyers are still willing to pay for this model year’s mix of style and performance. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.69% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Challenger makes sense if you want the model-year balance of strong owner satisfaction, distinctive styling, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be the better path, especially if you find a cleaner example at a lower asking price.
