Is the 2016 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, unique styling, and spacious interior, and many like the retro muscle-car feel that turns heads. It also fits well if you want a five-passenger coupe with everyday usability and a user-friendly infotainment setup. Is the 2016 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience for many buyers, with comments that suggest the car can be a satisfying long-term choice when it has been cared for properly. That said, used examples can vary a lot, so condition and maintenance history matter more than usual. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a neglected example rather than a well-kept one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,832 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $43,291 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,445 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you're thinking about future resale. It means the car has not been losing value sharply, but it also does not point to strong appreciation. For a future seller, that usually translates to a predictable exit price rather than a dramatic payoff. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Challenger’s retro style, usable cabin, and broad appeal in a year with stable pricing. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2016 remains a sensible target when you want a well-liked version of the formula.
