Used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearSt Catharines, ON

How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 21.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 61 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for a used three-row SUV. The Traverse’s appeal is its genuinely large cabin, usable third row, and family-friendly cargo space, including 3,296 litres of maximum cargo volume and 690 litres behind the third row. That makes it a practical choice if you need room for passengers and gear without moving to a larger SUV. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent share of market opportunities to consider.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s reliability record is described as poor, with concerns around electrical and power steering issues as well as engine and transmission trouble. That means you should be selective and inspect any used example carefully, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,335 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $10,345 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,226 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can limit near-term upside if you buy at the wrong price. For a future seller, the current pricing environment means you may need to be disciplined about maintenance and condition to protect value. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a spacious, affordable three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2016 if you want the lowest-cost path into a large, family-focused Traverse with strong space and utility. If you’re more price-sensitive, compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one, since condition matters a lot with this model.
