Used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 15.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 55 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and it fits buyers who want a genuinely large three-row crossover with minivan-like practicality and SUV styling. The Traverse offers a usable third row, plenty of passenger and cargo room, and up to 3,296 litres of maximum cargo volume, so it makes sense if space and family utility are your priorities. It also brings straightforward family-focused features and seating flexibility that suit everyday hauling. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still decent market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s reliability record is described as poor, with concerns around electrical and power steering issues as well as engine and transmission trouble. That means you should be especially careful about service history and pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a used example. For long-term ownership, the main risk is ending up with a vehicle that needs more repair attention than you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,433 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $10,740 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,739 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Traverse easier to buy now but less rewarding if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may reduce the impact of further depreciation. For a future seller, the key is buying conservatively so there is still room for value retention later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, practical three-row SUV and you find a well-priced 2016 Traverse with solid maintenance records, it can be a sensible buy. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it also makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
