• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 148 listings available.

What is the 2016 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $14,064 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,434 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a double-edged sword for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means there is less room for appreciation later. If you plan to sell down the road, the current market suggests you should focus on a well-kept example with strong service history and desirable equipment. Cars that are priced and presented well today are usually easier to move later, especially in a segment where buyers compare condition closely.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.17/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.17/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible pick if you want a well-liked 3 Series with a softer price point and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to cross-shop nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
