The owner feedback also highlights the MDX as a dependable, trouble-free choice overall, with many drivers describing it as a great value for the money. Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find a solid example.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,394 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $16,401 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,561 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today's lower average, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. The MDX's broad appeal as a comfortable, practical three-row luxury SUV should help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for a premium family vehicle.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 MDX is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, well-equipped three-row luxury SUV and you value buying into a softer market. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge on the tailgate.
