How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 14.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 97 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Ford Mustang earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. That lines up well with the Mustang’s role as a redesigned sports coupe that aims to blend heritage with broader day-to-day appeal. Even with its performance-first personality, it still comes across as a car that can satisfy both enthusiasts and shoppers who want something distinctive.

There are 25.8% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find worthwhile listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways Mustang shoppers care about most: strong power, engaging handling, and a classic design that keeps the car desirable over time. The expert assessment also notes that the Mustang has historically been slightly better than average for quality, dependability, and ownership costs.

Ford also frames the car as a more technologically sophisticated redesign, which can be a plus for usability but also means you should pay close attention to how well the electronics and features work on a used example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a more complex redesign can bring more things to inspect carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car is the Mustang V6, while the GT, GT Premium, and 50 Years Limited Edition bring the V8. The base car is the one most likely to miss the more desirable performance hardware and premium feel, so check carefully what equipment is actually fitted.
• Powertrain: You can shop this model with a 5.0-litre V8 or a turbocharged 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder. The V8 is the standout for sound and thrust, while the EcoBoost is the budget-friendly choice if you want lower running costs and still want a Mustang.
• Safety package: MyKey is standard, and it lets you set limits on speed and stereo volume while encouraging seat-belt use. A backup camera is standard, while blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are optional.
• Infotainment: The car can be equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen through MyFord Touch, and Ford Sync with Bluetooth is easy to use. Additional upgrades can include navigation and a premium audio system with HD Radio.
• Fuel efficiency: The EcoBoost can return 10.1 L/100 km, while the GT produced 12.6 L/100 km in testing.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 4 trim levels: Mustang V6, Mustang Convertible, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Mustang V6: This is the entry point if you want the Mustang shape and character at the lowest cost. It makes the most sense if you care more about the badge and styling than the V8 experience.
• Mustang Convertible: Choose this if open-air driving matters most to you. It gives you Mustang personality with extra weekend appeal.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers who want the full Mustang experience. You get the 5.0-litre V8, strong performance, and the core hardware that makes the car feel special.
• GT Premium: Pick this if you want the V8 plus a more upscale feel and more of the available comfort and tech content.

The safety package includes MyKey, a standard backup camera, and optional blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,723 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $22,723 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,562 CAD.

That price drop suggests buyers have more negotiating room today than they did a year ago. If you buy well now, you may be starting from a more favourable entry point than previous shoppers.

For a future seller, the key question is whether the market continues to value this generation’s mix of heritage and improved technology. Strong enthusiast demand can help support prices, but condition, trim, and equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2015 Ford Mustang earns five-star ratings for nearly all assessments from NHTSA, including rollover resistance. The IIHS rates it Good in all tests except the driver’s side small overlap, where it receives an Acceptable grade.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford includes MyKey as standard, which lets you set speed and audio limits for younger drivers and encourages seat-belt use. A backup camera is standard, while blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are optional. The standard Sync Bluetooth system also includes 911 Assist, which can automatically contact emergency responders after a collision if a paired device is in the car.

The main caveat is the IIHS small-overlap result, which is weaker than the rest of the crash-test performance and worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings a redesigned, more technologically advanced Mustang with a big improvement dynamically.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $20,238 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $22,723 CAD average.
• It feels thoroughly developed and better than ever.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned sixth-generation Mustang and can find a clean example at a fair price, the 2015 is the stronger all-round pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the better value path and still delivers the Mustang character you want.
