How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. That lines up well with the Mustang’s role as a performance-focused sports coupe that still brings everyday appeal. The broader appeal comes from the redesigned sixth-generation package, which adds more polish and technology while keeping the car’s familiar character intact.

With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and satisfying to live with, with praise centred on the power, handling, and classic design. The expert assessment also notes that the Mustang has historically been slightly better than average for quality, dependability, and ownership costs.

The redesigned 2015 model is more technologically sophisticated than earlier Mustangs, so long-term ownership risk is worth watching closely on used examples, especially if features were missed or repairs were deferred.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Mustang V6 is the entry point, while the GT, GT Premium, and 50 Years Limited Edition bring the desirable V8. The GT test car was sparsely equipped and lacked Ford’s MyFord Touch infotainment system, so you should check feature content carefully if you want a better-equipped cabin.
• Powertrain: You can choose between the base V6 and the turbocharged 2.3-litre EcoBoost, while the GT uses a 5.0-litre V8 with strong power and torque. The six-speed manual is described as refined, and the automatic includes paddle shifters.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes MyKey, a backup camera, and Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available, so confirm whether a used example has those extras.
• Infotainment: MyFord Touch with an 8-inch touchscreen is optional, and it can be paired with navigation and a premium audio system with HD Radio. The simpler knob-and-button setup is standard on some cars, so check which interface you prefer.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT test vehicle returned 12.6 L/100 km, and Natural Resources Canada says it should have returned 15.2 L/100 km in the city and 9.3 L/100 km on the highway. The EcoBoost is described as more frugal, with one example returning 10.1 L/100 km.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 4 trim levels: Mustang V6, Mustang Convertible, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Mustang V6: This is the entry point if you want the Mustang shape and nameplate at the lowest cost, but you should expect a simpler feature set than the higher trims.
• Mustang Convertible: Choose this if you want open-air driving, since the source notes that each engine is also available in a Mustang Convertible.
• GT: This is the enthusiast pick if you want the 5.0-litre V8, the strongest performance character, and the most dramatic Mustang experience.
• GT Premium: This is the best-value choice if you want the V8 experience with more upscale equipment and broader appeal than the base GT.

The safety package includes MyKey, a backup camera, and available blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 107 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,650 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $22,665 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,417 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

The Mustang’s strong enthusiast appeal helps support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Cars with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2015 Mustang earns five-star ratings in nearly all NHTSA assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in all tests but the driver’s side small overlap, where it receives an Acceptable grade.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes MyKey, a backup camera, and Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available. The optional front crash prevention system received a one-bar rating out of a possible three bars, so that is worth noting if you are comparing equipped examples.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings a redesigned sixth-generation package with a big improvement in dynamics and technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $19,416 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $22,665 CAD average.
• It feels thoroughly developed and better than ever, with strong performance and a more polished character.

The bottom line: If you want the more modern and better-rounded Mustang, the 2015 is the stronger pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want classic Mustang character, the 2014 is the value-oriented alternative.
