Why it stands out
The 2015 Acura MDX stands out as a three-row luxury SUV that blends strong performance with a reputation for quality. In the third-generation MDX, Acura had already moved to a re-engineered 3.5-litre V6 making 290 horsepower, and this generation also brought a dual-screen infotainment setup, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a gradual expansion of driver-assist equipment such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. It was also rated at 11.1 litres per 100 kilometres combined with Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive, which helped make it more efficient than its predecessor while still keeping the MDX’s sporty character.
For 2015 specifically, the MDX’s appeal is tied to its balance of comfort, equipment, and everyday usability. The model was described as very comfy and usually feature-packed, and owners commonly praise its reliability, spaciousness, performance, and confidence in snowy conditions. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the infotainment system is hard to use, the third row is tight, and the V6 is thirsty. Even so, the 2015 Acura MDX remains distinctive for buyers who want a practical luxury SUV with standard three-row seating, strong road manners, and a well-earned reputation for durability.

How much does the 2015 Acura MDX cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $15,429 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $15,429 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $18,155 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $18,457 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −16.40% |
Prices have softened 16.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 93 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2015 Acura MDX a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Acura MDX earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its reliability, spaciousness, and performance, and they also value the comfortable seating and advanced technologies. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a three-row luxury SUV for families who want comfort, everyday usability, and confidence in snowy conditions. With 37.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.
Is the 2015 Acura MDX reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependable performance, and a vehicle that many people feel comfortable counting on over time. That matters for used buyers because a strong reputation for durability can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises as the kilometres add up.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Acura MDX?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 93 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.40% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $15,429 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Acura MDX's resale value?
The current average of $15,429 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,457 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the MDX more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help support demand from shoppers who want a well-equipped luxury SUV without paying top dollar. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep interest steady over time.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 Acura MDX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.40% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a three-row luxury SUV with strong owner approval, the 2015 MDX is the better fit when you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years as well, but the 2015 stands out as a sensible choice when condition, equipment, and deal quality line up.
