How much does the 2014 Nissan Sentra cost?

There are 97 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2014 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a compact sedan. The overview frames it as a practical commuter with a more spacious interior, improved efficiency, and a lighter body than the outgoing model, so it makes the most sense if you value comfort, room, and fuel economy over driving excitement. For used-car shoppers, that combination can be especially appealing if you want straightforward daily transportation. 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also makes clear that this generation is considered the least reliable because of the CVT, so you should pay close attention during a test drive and review the car’s maintenance history carefully. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is transmission-related, especially if the car has been driven hard or serviced inconsistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate market where you can be selective, but you should still move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,091 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $7,505 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,455 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. Because the market is still showing a softer trend, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the car is maintained and how clean its history is. A well-kept example should be easier to move later than one with signs of neglect.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 Sentra makes the most sense if you want a roomy, efficient compact sedan and you can find one with a clean history at a strong price. If you are especially price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal share make this year worth targeting first, but you should still prioritise condition and maintenance over the lowest sticker price.
